To be a leader is one of the most challenging things to do, if you want the success of any type of organization. As the chief of police, an effective strategy is needed to properly meet the goals of the Police department. In order to do this, I have decided to implement Kohlrabies theory of moral development with the goal to provide every law enforcement officer a guide in order to lead ethical careers.
However, this will be a challenging task that will involve personalize efforts in order to lead effective lives as law enforcement officer. As the Chief police, I must be aware that in a leadership position I live in a glass house with every eye set on me. Nevertheless, I will lead by example and I will expect every law enforcement officer to live by the same standards. In this report, we will analyze Lawrence Kohlrabi’s stages of moral development.
In detail, we will discuss the three levels of Kohlrabi’s stages of moral development, explain how my officers can use Kohlrabi’s stages to evaluate types of criminals who are at the different stages of moral development, report will illustrate says in which I would address self interest and pursuit of pleasure to prevent corruption, and will discuss Prima Facie Duties that my law enforcement officers should fulfill.
