The transition to a computerize method of inputting production process will help the company keep proper record in a more traceable form. The main object of our process simulations was analyzing the performance of the current production system.

The current system was not a computerized system, and as such lack traceability and prone to errors. Because of the limited financial funds, the company does not wish to invest in an advance software program. Therefore, the focus on off-the-shelf software program was advice. The proposed new production process database will be build using Microsoft Access. The current process will follow the material flow from obtaining the pick list to boxing f finished products (see figure 4). They represent the time from acceptance of raw materials in the production system, till the storage of finished products.

The new Microsoft Access database will be built by the Quality Manager with emphasis on Taper Tips production unit. The unit will serve as a pilot unit for the new production process database. The Quality Manager on completion of the database construction, will begin the training two Production Specialists in Taper Tips Production unit. Training programs will be designed to include on-the-Job training and off-the-Job training. On-the-Job training will be delivered to employees while they perform their regular Jobs, in this way, they do not lose time while they are learning.

Also, an off- the-Job training which includes instructional CDC and online videos will be provided to employees to enhance their understanding of the program. At the end, an evaluation of training will be done to compare their newly acquired skills with the skills defined by the goals of the company training program. Using Microsoft Access application can bring as much as $13080 benefits to New Objective, which is a huge revenue compared with the $667 annual cost. The company should also determine the deployment strategy during the early stages of implementation of the new system.

The company may choose to run the system in parallel with the existing system or perform a cutover. The company should conduct vigorous tests on the system prior to its implementation. This would help in determining red flags within the system, which may hinder its successful implementation. The company should also seem. New Objective should create a risk register that highlights all the risks and issues in the implementation of the new system. The risk register will helps in risk planning. The company can reference the risk register to determine how to tackle the risks associated with the new system implementation. However, New Objective should ensure that it has an efficient method of updating the risks. The risk register captures the risks date, and identify the category of risk. New

Objective can create a risk even number, which assigns a value to each risk. It may opt to color code the risks to portray their level of importance. Color coding helps in sorting all the risks. New Objectives risk register should have field labeled ‘mitigation’ that details how the company intends to tackle the risks. The strategic outline for recovery would assemble groups within the system that are vital in its functioning. These include vital records, hardware and operating systems, and systems and applications. The disaster recovery plan would identify people who the organization would contact if the system is not functioning properly. In addition, it would detail priority of recovering systems or components.

Managing the company’s disaster recovery plan should be the responsibility of the Quality Manager. The manager’s duties should include to co- ordinate the various functional activities which advice on risk management issues within the organization, and building a risk aware culture.
